What makes it special

Ortal built the Wilderness burner to recreate an authentic hearth fire, and at this size the effect is rare: flames rise through a full-length driftwood log set, not from a strip beneath a bed of media. From across the room it reads as a real wood fire—a campfire the length of a loveseat.

Every model comes with a heat barrier. The standard protective screen is a mesh so fine you forget it’s there. The Double Glass option adds a second pane with quietly circulating air between the layers, so the outer glass stays under 172°F—the one to look at when kids or pets share the room.
