What Makes It Special

The glass wraps the fire on three sides and runs almost seven feet wide, and Ortal’s clean European design means your finish materials run right to the edge of the glass—tile, stone, or plaster meets fire with no metal frame between them. From across the room it doesn’t read as an appliance in a wall. It reads as fire set into the wall itself.

This is the double-glass version, which means the required safety barrier is a second pane of glass instead of a mesh screen. Nothing textured sits between you and the flame, and the outer pane is there to reduce the risk of burns from the hot fire glass—a real consideration when the fireplace stands where people walk past it on three sides.

Passive cool-wall design keeps the surface above ready for a TV or artwork hung right over the fire. And the controls do the tending for you: set 70 on the remote and the flame adjusts itself to hold the room there, run Eco mode to cycle the flame between high and low, or schedule on and off times and let it keep its own hours—from the remote, a wall switch, or your phone.
